Finance – Revenue & Rebate Intern

MMD is a wholly owned company of TPV established in 2009 through a brand license agreement with Philips. MMD exclusively markets and sells Philips branded LCD displays worldwide. By combining the Philips brand promise with TPV’s manufacturing expertise in displays, MMD uses a fast and focused approach to bringing innovative products to market. MMD serves worldwide markets from major regional offices including Amsterdam, Prague, Shanghai, Singapore, São Paulo and Fremont (EPI). Through its network of local sales teams MMD works with all major IT distributors and resellers. The company’s design and development center is located in Taiwan.

Scope

Amsterdam (The Netherlands) - We are seeking an enthusiastic Finance Intern to support our Philips and AOC finance Department. As part of our in-house Finance team, you will be working both independently and collaboratively on Revenue & Rebate.

Responsibilities

In support to Revenue & Rebate Controller, you’re exposing to,

  • IFRS 15 Revenue Principle

Follow at IFRS to control at revenue procedure, your main responsibilities are,

  • Revenue Recognition (according to incoterm(timing) and specific items)
  • Rebate contract controlling
  • Rebate purpose reclassification
  • Rebate recognition process
  • Being an Auditee, to prepare & response the test sample selected by Auditor

With requests from either internal & external auditors, you,

  • Prepare selected testing sample, with good understanding on internal control
  • Support the RCM and C-SOX process & documentation
  • 3- Monthly report

You’re expected to do,

  • Rebate contract status report
  • Track rebate calculation (accrual & actual spending)
  • Review the system condition if same with written contract
  • Prepare Monthly sales report and distribution
  • Prepare IFRS15 freight revenue (service obligation) report

Requirements

Bachelor/Master Finance/Accountancy

  • Microsoft Excel and accounting principles knowledge is required.
  • Availability of 6-9 months (start in Jun 2024)
  • Be enrolled as a student at a European college or University.
  • Organised, dependable and detail oriented
