Amsterdam, 1 October 2019 – According to the latest figures from the analyst Context, the monitor market in the wider European region has grown by 3.2% in the second quarter of 2019. Display specialist AOC and MMD (brand license partner of Philips monitors) together doubled this number, showed a 6.7% volume increase, and held their third position of the market share in Europe at 14.1%. MMD contributed to this growth by growing 10.8% year-on-year in volume.
In large screen sizes (68.6 cm - 27” and above), two brands together are in second position with 14% market share. While this market segment grew by 29.2%, both brands together grew almost double that amount, by 57.7%. MMD and AOC also noted a significant growth of their volumes individually, 53.3% for MMD and 64% for AOC.
