totallydubbedHD, a YouTuber/influencer from the UK focussed on tech reviews and guides has just published a review of the AOC 24G2ZU on his channel.
The monitor received the channel’s “Best Buy” award!
The tester stated: “Quite frankly I was left absolutely jaw dropped. AOC have absolutely nailed the input lag and response time of this monitor. They’re simply phenomenal!”

+ 240 Hz refresh rate
+ IPS panel
+ Jaw-dropping gaming performance
+ Very little inverse ghosting in “Strong” overdrive mode
+ Absolutely phenomenal input lag
+ Adaptive-Sync support
+ Decent colour accuracy (average DeltaE of 1.78), perfectly acceptable for a gaming monitor (in sRGB mode)
+ 350 nits brightness
+ Three sides borderless design and red metallic accents
+ Height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustable, sturdy stand
CONS
- Too dim in “Boost” overdrive mode
- Black screen while enabling Nvidia G-SYNC – but no other artefacts when it’s on
- sRGB mode locks brightness
- Low contrast ratio (740:1)
- Brightness uniformity (significant variation on the top part)
- Some IPS bleed
Verdict: “Quite frankly I was left absolutely jaw dropped. AOC have absolutely nailed the input lag and response time of this monitor. They’re simply phenomenal! […] In “strong” overdrive mode there was very little inverse ghosting meaning that I could run on this mode and not incur any purple trailing around my enemies. […] Indeed, the monitor does perform extraordinarily well in terms of its response time and it feels extremely responsive. And the same could be said about its input lag. It is absolutely phenomenal. […] For someone who has played 2000 hours of competitive CS:GO, it is a monitor I would safely see myself using in competitive gaming and that includes that global elite level on CS:GO. […] Frankly, the AOC 24G2ZU is my favourite FullHD 240 Hz monitor and as a result gets my “Best Buy” award.”
