The monitor received 4/5 stars. The editor titled his review with: “The best ultrawide choice for fast and twitchy games”. He also noted: “the CU34G2X may well be the best curved gaming monitor option when it comes to ultrawide gaming, and not just from within AOC's own range.”
PROS
+ Combines ideal 144Hz and 1ms gaming specs
+ In-game performance in shooters and racing games is sublime
+ Ridiculously cheap price for those specs
(+) Subtle design with slight red accents
(+) Sturdy and well-built
(+) Rich connectivity with four USB 3.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4, and two HDMI 2.0.
CONS
- Color isn't quite as vibrant as some other monitors
(-) Low brightness
(-) Lackluster HDR performance
